Key Club aims to give back
Key Club, a national organization that is passionate about volunteering, is a student-led organization sponsored by Mr. William “Buck” Lally.
“We volunteer at various places, people send us volunteer opportunities, we help at theatres, elementary and middle schools, tutoring and things like that,” Lally said. “Really whatever people ask the kids to do, we go do.”
The only requirement Key Club expects is for students to do their part.
“The biggest expectation would be to participate,” Lally said. “That’s the purpose of joining a club like ours – to help people, and the only way to go is to participate.”
Freshman Leslie Pham enjoys Key Club.
“It’s a good opportunity to get volunteer hours for college applications, and it’s fun to volunteer with my friends,” Pham said.
