SNAP to host Chick-fil-a Spirit Night
Twenty percent of proceeds goes towards SNAP
Mr. Cy Creek and Homecoming King will face off in a Chick-n-minis eating contest tomorrow at Chick-fil-a on 1960 and Cutten.
The fundraiser, hosted by SNAP, consists of Mr. Cy Creek senior Tyler Huff and Homecoming King senior Jabreal Tatum having their hands tied behind their backs and a partner blindfolded feeding them chicken minis. A person wins by eating the most chicken minis in the allotted time. The winner gets 50 Chick-fil-a chicken sandwich/nuggets coupons.
SNAP encourages students to come to Chick-fil-a to support a team. In order for SNAP to get 20 percent of the proceeds, people must tell the cashier when paying for an order that they are there for Cy Creek.
Huff said he feels excited because he loves chicken minis, and will not know who his partner will be until the day of the event.
“I expect it to go down,” he said. “I’m going to win, I’m going to eat more chicken-minis for sure.”
Tatum said he continues to spread the word via Twitter and told all his friends. He also said his partner will be senior Jacob Korte, but has a back up plan.
“I feel like I’m going to eat a dozen chicken nuggets,” Tatum said. “I’m going to eat my heart out.”
