The third-annual Lighting of the CC’s, will begin at 7 pm Wednesday, October 22, to kick off Homecoming weekend activities.

The cheerleaders along with senior class representative and head cheerleading coach Nicole LeClaire host this event to raise school spirit for the faculty, student body and the community.

“We sponsor it and put it on,” LeClaire said. “But it takes all of the participating groups, performing groups and the community.”

The first 1000 people to bring a nonperishable food item for the Houston Food Bank will have the chance to win an autographed calendar signed by two former Cy Creek alumna and now Houston Texans Cheerleaders, Caitlyn Rasmussen and Bethany Herold, as well as the chance to meet them.

Last year, this event donated over 1000 pounds of food to the Houston Food Bank.
